Bachelor of Science in Animal Science
I have a B.S. in Animal Science from Brigham Young University-Idaho. While earning this degree I not only worked with companion animal behavior but also with commercial animals such as cows and horses. Much of my experience at college was working with these animals' behavior hand in hand and how we as humans fit into the behavior spectrum. This gave me immense knowledge and experience on how to read animals body language, understand actions before they happen, and be able to determine how best to work with individual animals.
Experience
I have not only worked with animals in a college setting, but I have also worked with many shelters and rescues to train dogs and provide accurate assessments to determine what plans would fit them best. While working with these dogs I have gained knowledge about common behaviors that are picked up in a home unintentionally. I have also worked with many owners to help them understand how to speak dog to avoid miscommunications later on. Every pup I have trained has a special place in my heart as I believe that we are not only training the dogs but we are training the families to communicate with their furriest members.
